YOGA

The practice of yoga incorporates not only asana, or physical poses, but also breathing and meditation, along with philosophical guidelines that are thousands of years old. The system of yoga is designed to enable us to live in the present moment, with a deep sense of contentment and ease, and to be well-resourced to face challenges and difficulties with equanimity and grace.

Yoga is often perceived as being only for the slim and flexible, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Yoga is an art and a science for living, suitable for anybody - it doesn't matter if you're young or old, fit or unfit, super-flexible or stiff as a board! Michelle's classes are multi-level, with options offered so that all students feel comfortable and supported in their practice as they work at their own pace.

PILATES

Pilates is a mind-body discipline, with a strong emphasis on what are often referred to as the "deep core stabilisers", and which Joseph Pilates termed "the powerhouse". Nearly 100 years after its inception, the Pilates method is still going strong as the great results seen by students speak for themselves.

Practiced regularly, Pilates can help relieve back and neck pain; improve posture, breathing and immunity; and increase energy levels. On top of all that, it's a full-body workout that tones everything! Michelle's classes are suitable for all ages and levels of fitness, offering multiple options so that every student is safe yet challenged in their practice.

MEDITATION

Meditation is a skill that anyone can learn. Whether you're a complete beginner, or have tried meditation before and would like to get into a regular practice, Michelle offers something to suit you.
