The practice of yoga incorporates not only asana, or physical poses, but also breathing and meditation, along with philosophical guidelines that are thousands of years old. The system of yoga is designed to enable us to live in the present moment, with a deep sense of contentment and ease, and to be well-resourced to face challenges and difficulties with equanimity and grace.
Yoga is often perceived as being only for the slim and flexible, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Yoga is an art and a science for living, suitable for anybody - it doesn't matter if you're young or old, fit or unfit, super-flexible or stiff as a board! Michelle teaches a slow, mindful style of yoga, and her classes are multi-level, with options offered so that all students feel comfortable and supported in their practice as they work at their own pace.
